why you may breakout with new skincare products?

We want it NOW!

Whatever it is, our patience has diminished and it does not appear it will be coming back any time soon.  This is particularly true with our FACE.  However, to get real and sustainable results we have to take a deep breath and let our products and skin do the work.

A small wait is really worth it!

This is why…

Our skin cycles, depending on our age, over a 6 to 12-week period.

How does skin form?

New skin cells are generated on the inside of the skin. The skin cells outside of the skin die and shed daily.

Active ingredients penetrate the skin and work their magic where new skin cells are produced. This means that skincare products have to work their way down to the deepest levels of the skin to hydrate, nourish and heal skin cells.

This process takes time!

When will I see results from my skincare?

6 – 12 weeks will reveal the results and patience you have invested in.

What *might* cause my skin to breakout when I use a new skincare product?

When you try a new skincare product(s) you may experience a brief period of breakout.  This is most likely due to an active ingredient that your skin is not accustomed to and will resolve quickly once your skin has acclimatised to the new ingredient.  This is, of course, assuming you are using a quality product with limited ingredients and no fillers or chemicals that are known to cause irritation.

With HydroSkin’s 3 Steps, occasionally a customer will experience a mild breakout.  This is usually around the lower cheek or jawline area.  The investigation has revealed this can be a combination of two causes, #1 the introduction of active Vitamin C and /or #2 the active Hyaluronic Acid Serum moving deep into the skin and pushing out debris from clogged pores.

The breakout resolves in 3 – 5 days with no reoccurrences.
